I have a collection of cookbooks and recipes from all over the place and I often get stuck using them when I have to convert quantities from imperial to metric, for example. Most of the time being perfectly precise is not completely necessary, but when it comes to baking it’s a good idea to get your quantities correct. Some ingredients I like to weigh on a digital scale more than measuring out cups and tablespoons.
A little while ago I made up a cheat sheet for kitchen conversions which can be placed in a plastic sleeve or laminated and kept in easy reach for all your cooking. I thought I’d reproduce it here as a handy online reference. I’ve also attached the file at the end of this page should you wish to download it and print it for yourself.
